Talk about equipment that was broken and you got repaired (or which had a problem)

The advanced technological development has brought tremendous change in every walk of life. Things get outdated with time as technology is developing by leaps and bound. If I have to speak about something which I got replaced, then it would be a semi-automatic washing machine. It was of quite an old model, we purchased it about 7 years ago. But now it is outdated and also lots of mechanical flaws occur while washing clothes in it. We bought it from a renowned Philips showroom in our city. Earlier my mother has to wash clothes with hands which was quite a tiresome job. So to help her with her work, we bought a semi-automatic washing machine as it could aid her is doing work easily and conveniently. It was of Philips Company and red in color and has about 7.5 kg capacity. It acts as a great help for her; needless to say, it saved plenty of time too. I believe, it is quite essential for a house to have a washing machine. One unfortunate day, there was a fluctuation in the power supply and the washing machine was plugged in at that time. After that day, it stopped working. So last year in the month of December I logged a complaint to the customer care department of the Philips Company so that the fault occurred in the appliance can be taken care of and it can be restored to working order. A few days later, I got an email from their customer grievances handling department, saying that unfortunately, we stopped the manufacturing of that model of washing machine. However, since you are an old customer of our company, we like to gift you a brand new fully automatic washing machine on the occasion of the New Year. I was extremely happy reading this news as earlier mom has to wring the clothes outside of the washing machine as it was semi-automatic and it only washes the clothes, which was becoming more tiresome with age. I didn’t tell it to anyone at home as I wanted it to be a surprise. So I reverted them a message thanking them and asking that is it possible to deliver the commodity on first of January to which they agreed. My subsequent few days spent in anxiety as I am eagerly waiting to surprise my mother. So, on the 1st of January, I got a call at around 2 o’clock in the afternoon. It was from the delivery person. So I opened the door and received it, to my great amazement they gift wrapped it which acted as a cherry on the cake, I thanked them a million time. I told them the whole thing which made everyone extremely happy especially my mother. That was the time when I complained about something that was broken and got it replaced and received an exceptional customer service. |
