India is a developing nation and government is constantly building new amenities to provide better life quality to the citizens of India. Many projects are in progress and many are yet to start. The public facility which I want to speak about is the recently opened branch of ESIC hospital in Mandi in the state of Himachal Pradesh. It is sometimes also referred to as Mini PGI.

Earlier people from Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh and other nearby places have no option but to rush to PGI or private hospitals for better medical attention to serious medical conditions. Many a time, the sufferer meets the unfortunate death because of the substantial number of patients in PGI and also because many people were not able to sustain long without necessary treatment. Hence, this new branch of ESIC is a boon to the people. It took 4 years for it to get completed.

It not only provides the people of nearby places an alternative of PGI but it also provides them with the most recent technologies and medical equipment which might be helpful in curing diseases at a rapid rate. It has the capacity to handle 3000 patients hence sharing the burden of PGI and treating patients on time and reducing the death rate. It will also educate 100 medical students every year along with 60 nursing students. So that India can have a large pool of medical professionals in the upcoming future.

Consequently, it brought a tremendous change in the life quality of the people around and nearby towns and is definitely a bliss to the mankind.
